This position is responsible for identifying and verifying patient eligibility, and entering data for EA programs that have elected to have EA manage their patient designation functions. In addition, the Administration Assistant (EA Program Liaison) provides excellent customer service to physicians and physician offices.

Essential Functions:
1. Research status eligibility in the EA program.
2. Acknowledge eligibility through physician designation forms and return to physician via fax.
3. Enter patient information and medical CPT codes provided by the physician into the EA system.
4. Contact physician offices and send fax notices if a physician-submitted patient is or is not eligible for EA program.
5. Respond to questions from physicians or physician offices on the designation of EA patients and general eligibility questions.
6. Provides operational reports to clients or EA employees.
7. Assists in maintaining patient information and data in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
8. Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
1. Knowledge of medical billing is helpful.
2. Excellent oral/written communication skills. Excellent follow through.
3. Accurately enters information in the data systems.
4. Knowledgeable in computer software applications, word processing and Excel.
5. Ability to follow-through, assume responsibility and use good judgment.
6. Prioritize workload.
7. Communicate effectively and diplomatically with internal and external customers and other EA personnel both orally and in writing.
8. Maintains confidentiality and follows all procedures relating to Personal Health Information
