LIVE-IN CERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT/CNA OR CAREGIVER
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Certification as a CNA in the State of Illinois with completion of competencies REQUIRED for CNA positions.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
English fluency speaking, reading, and writing. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required by BrightStar guidelines as well as the ability to respond professionally and appropriately on behalf of BrightStar. Ability to effectively communicate with BrightStar clients including seniors who may have hearing challenges.
REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES
Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing.
Valid drivers license, auto insurance, and clean driving record.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required by BrightStar guidelines.
Ability to respond professionally and appropriately on behalf of BrightStar.
Opportunities to be a live-in provider 4-7 days/week.
Proven track record of puntual, reliable service to assigned schedule.
Willingness to consider short notice and odd hours shifts and assignments.
Ability to follow instructions for timely reporting of hours worked and client care record.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Measure and record vital signs, fluid intake and output
Assist daily routine care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
Assist patients in active and passive range of motion, transferring, walking, and turning
Ability to follow written Nursing Care Plan
Light housekeeping, laundry and linen changes, meal preparation, and clean up
Provides medical follow-up with exercise regimen
Provides transportation to appointments, activities, and shopping
Other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Successful candidates will be required to submit to post-offer, pre-employment Physical Examination, Drug Screening, Background Check
Successful candidates will be required to submit annual Physical Examinations and TB Test Results
Successful candidates must submit verification of AHA Certified CPR Training and Certification
Ability to safely lift and manipulate patients
