A minimum of 1 year experience as a medical assistant in DERMATOLOGY.
Knowledge of a leading medical health records system.
Experience with cosmetic procedures and lasers.
Familiarity with coding for derm procedures.
College degree (preferred), High School diploma (required).
Certification/Registration from an accredited MA program.
Impeccable communication, verbal, organizational, customer service and interpersonal skills.
Must be willing to begin workday at 8AM.
Full time medical assistant needed for an upscale cosmetic medical practice with a leading Dermatologist in Manhattan. Applicant must meet all the requirements above and be a fashion-forward, well-spoken caregiver who can anticipate the needs in a busy office. Duties require a team player who will focus on patient intake, HPI, acting as scribe for doctor, interfacing with labs, managing patient lab results, reviewing treatment plans and protocol, reviewing medication and post procedure guidelines, ensuring the comfort of each patient. There is standard office work such as: inventory, exam room maintenance and stocking, cross covering of telephones when needed, etc.
