Redwood Regional Medical Group (RRMG) currently has an open position for a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) in our Infusion Department at the Santa Rosa (Fountaingrove) clinic. The MA provides basic patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and Physician that incorporates the administration of injections (subcutaneous and intramuscular), assist with procedures, timely rooming of patients to ensure efficient patient flow, take vital signs, schedule appointments and support office activities such as medical records filing. The MA demonstrates competency in all areas of pre-analytical laboratory testing and performs automated laboratory procedures which do not require direct interpretation. Additionally, the MA contributes to the productive and efficient operations of the department and is responsible for restocking, inventory and ordering of drugs and supplies. The MA has a key role in the maintenance of a clean and safe infusion center environment. Duties also include the copying and restocking of forms needed for documentation of patient care.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
* California State Certification of Phlebotomy required
* One year of laboratory experience required
* Basic keyboard and computer skills are required
* Certified Medical Assistant
* CPR Certification
